Background

At this time of year several things happen that cause people to re-evaluate their life. For example people meet family and friends they may not have seen for a while, reminding them that they have not moved on or taken action since they last met. It could be the big family get together over the Christmas dinner table, that feeling of being trapped and bringing back those painful childhood memories that had been locked away. Perhaps it is the break from the rat race and the realisation that this is not the real world, and another year of life has passed by.

In everything that we do, whether an outright success or a failure we have a learning experience, which we can take onboard for the next time we are faced with a similar situation. By approaching the situation with an honest and open heart coupled with humour it comes across to the person on the receiving end.

Watchdog did an undercover report expose on the high pressure sales tactics used by the Personal Travel Group. I first came across this firm at the Business Startup expo earlier this year. They had the most amazing custom built stand with a leg of Parma ham, a wall of plasma televisions with plush images of crystal clear waters, and a bar serving beer.
